Haiku by Kathryn Poulsen Wood
The following haiku of mine was recently published in the Haiku Society of America Members’ 2023 Anthology, Fractured By Cattails. It was inspired by a walk along the Deschutes River in Bend, Oregon, with my friend Lisa and my dog Emma.
high clouds mute the sun
snow covers the river trail
wren tracks lead the way
The beautiful music that accompanies my recorded haiku in the Arts Section of theradicalsongbook.com is excerpted from “Breath” by my cousin Tim Fox. Thank you, Tim!
You can hear more of Tim’s music, learn about jazz, see where he will be performing live, and much more on his website roaringforkjazz.org.
